The AM/PM Routine Tag

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well. My high school graduation was last Friday so it is officially summer break for me! My plans for this summer include working at the clothing boutique, spending time with friends, finishing the Parsons X Teen Vogue Fashion Certificate Program, and I would also like to start blogging a couple of times a week. Let me know in the comments what your plans are for the summer. I have never done a tag on my blog before so thought I would give this one a go!

What is your morning beauty routine?

During the school year I wake up at 6am but during the summer I usually wake up at around 8:30am. Most mornings I begin the day by doing yoga or going for a run. To start my beauty routine I refresh my face with a bit of rose water and then apply moisturizer. Next I mix some foundation with a lighter moisturizer and then put on some under eye concealer. After this I set my makeup with a loose transparent powder, curl my eyelashes, and put on some mascara. Lately I have been loving wearing lipstick but I will also sometimes just wear lip balm.

What’s for breakfast?

I start the day by drinking a litre of water while getting ready. For breakfast I always eat fruit and have recently been making fruit bowls. I do this by blending a few frozen bananas with either mangos, strawberries, or raspberries. I put this in a bowl and then cut up more fruit to put on top. Fruit bowls are absolutely delicious and I look forward to mine every morning!

Coffee or Tea? 

I used to drink tea every morning but now I just have water. If I do have tea I usually make green tea.

How long does it take you to get out the door? 

In the mornings I give myself two hours because I don’t like feeling rushed. If I am in a hurry I can get ready in half an hour but two hours gives me plenty of time to get ready, exercise, eat breakfast, and check social media. I also love waking up early and am always the first one up in my house. There is something so peaceful and productive about the mornings that I really enjoy.

What’s your go to make-up look on a fuss free morning? 

My morning beauty routine that I talked about earlier is fuss free and what I do everyday.  It is super easy to do when you are in a rush.

What is your evening routine? 

In the evening I remove my makeup, clean my face with a cleanser, and apply a facial oil.

Snack time! What’s in the bowl?

I’m usually not very hungry at night because I eat a lot at dinner but recently I have been boiling water and adding ginger and lemon. It is so good for you and very relaxing at the end of a long day.

How do you wind down and prep for bed? 

During the summer I find it more difficult to go to sleep early because I will usually stay up late talking to friends. I am making an effort to put my phone away at least half an hour before I go to sleep. During this time I like to read and put on some calming essential oils. At the moment I reading ‘Memoirs of a Geisha’ by Arthur Golden and am really enjoying it so far!

Cozy up! What are you wearing for sleep? 

My favourite thing to wear to bed is my Victoria’s Secret satin cami and short set but I also will wear a t-shirt and shorts.

What are somethings you must do before you hit the hay? 

Before I go to sleep I check my social media, brush my teeth, and plan my outfit for the next day. I hope you enjoyed this post and leave me a comment if you do this tag as well!
