Hello everyone! I hope you are having a beautiful Saturday! Today I wanted to share with you the photos I took for my assignment for the Parsons and Teen Vogue Certificate Program I am currently taking online. I wrote about the course in a past post so click here to learn more about it. The assignment was to take a set of photos fitting a certain theme of photography we had been collecting inspiration for in past assignments. Me, being the Tim Walker-obsessed person I am, choose the theme of magic realism. I set off at 6:30 am, camera and tripod in hand, to my favourite garden. The goal of these photos was to contrast lightness with darkness, therefore creating a sense of magic. Despite the strange looks I received from the people that ran by and early morning dog walkers, the shoot went amazing! In the wise words of Sophia Amoruso:

“No matter where you are in life, you’ll save a lot of time by not worrying too much about what other people think about you. The earlier in your life that you can learn that, the easier the rest of it will be.”

  1. The pictures are absolutely stunning and they fit the theme perfectly. Worrying about what other people think of us really is a waste of time and stands in the way of our happiness xx

  2. Oh, I 100% doubt they were ‘odd’ looks and rather ones of total awe – what an amazing shoot! You look so gorgeous in this look and the name of the shoot/post is perfect too (very modern, dark fairytale-esque).
