Healthy Habits For November

Hello everyone! I hope that you are all doing well despite the very unfortunate occurrences in the US. On a more positive note I thought I would share some of my tips on how to stay healthy and happy this November. Enjoy!

Drink More Water: Drinking lots of water is something I have become quiet good at over the past year. It has made such a difference in the way I feel and my overall health. I highly recommend that you increase your water consumption this month to maintain a glowing complexion and flush out toxins.

Get Lots of Sleep: This is something I’m guilty of not doing well. School, work, blogging, and my social life leave me with very little time and I tend to leave sleep as a last priority. My goal for November is to prioritize sleep and I hope that you do the same!

Meditate: I started meditating a couple of years ago and it has completely changed my life. Calming your mind is very difficult at first but as a result of meditating I am much more present, compassionate, and patient than I used to be. Even when I am really busy I like to set aside at least five minutes a day to meditate. It is so important to remember to participate fully in the present moment even with life moving at a fast pace.

Moisturize: This tip is a pretty obvious one but a crucial beauty habit for the cold months. The moisturizer I use and will stand by for the rest of my life is coconut oil. I use it in replacement of a body lotion and it also makes a great hair mask! On my face I use a moisturizer from a local shop that contains ingredients such as shea butter and lavender oil.

Be Kind: Always be kinder than you feel. Especially with the devastating events happening in the US at the moment, it is important to be a kind person in the midst of it all to help those around you. Positivity and kindness is contagious so spread it everywhere and adopt it as a part of who you are.

Stretch In The Morning: Incorporating stretching into my morning routine is something I have recently started doing. It improves your circulation therefore increasing your energy levels. Giving yourself a few minutes to stretch every morning will help you set a positive tone for each day this November.

Use Your Planner: I have always been a huge fan of planners! My life would be incomplete without one and if you don’t own a planner I would highly suggest investing in one. Especially during this busy time of year it is helpful to have a place where you can organize everything you have to do.

I hope that you find these tips useful and let me know in the comments what you do during November to stay happy and healthy!
