A Reflection on 2016

Happy 2017! I hope your New Year’s was fantastic! This post is being published a little later than I had originally planned but is something I still want to share. Despite the common opinion that 2016 was horrible and the tragedies that occurred, it was personally my favourite year yet. For me, 2016 was a year of personal development. After many years of struggling with my mental health and happiness, I took matters into my own hands and completely changed my mindset. I can now I say I am the happiest I have ever been. This year I worked hard and am proud with what I accomplished. I have been blogging, working at a clothing boutique, and doing an online course with Parsons and Teen Vogue while simultaneously graduating from high school and starting business school. I have met so many incredible people along the way and am very thankful for all the loved ones in my life.

I have high hopes that 2017 will be even more amazing than 2016. This year my main focus is on self care, being present, and trying new things. I celebrated this New Year’s Eve with my favourite people and started 2017 with a Polar Bear Swim! Let me know in the comments what your favourite part of 2016 was!

  1. I am so happy for your achievement! I truly believe when you reach out and you have faith in yourself and you are not afraid of failure , then you will get it eventually, like dream do come true! Same for me here! I feel the happiest I have ever been in 2016! So I am looking forward to 2017 also! Good luck to your business school! Exciting exciting!

  2. Happy new year! Taking a class at Parsons and Teen Vogue sounds really interesting. I would love to hear more about that! 2016 was definitely a memorable year for me despite the highs and lows. I hope this coming year will be great too.
